With their huge voting numbers, youths have the power to fix Nigeria’s problem of bad political leadership and also enforce good governance at both federal and state levels, using their ballots as weapons. Democracy is a game of numbers!

The 40Million Ballots Movement (40MB) is a youth-led revolutionary democratic movement designed to drive a national grassroots youth political engagement and networking platform where youths, young women and other concerned Nigerians are equipped, empowered and enabled to unite, mobilize and organize themselves into a political force of forty million voters and more, whose determination and common goal, is to use their ballots, to enforce and provide a bold and viable platform for competent and credible Nigerians to contest and win elections into political seats in 2027 and beyond, as part of the people’s collective efforts (ordinary Nigerians) to rescue their dying country from the grip and chains of corrupt and bad political leaders.

This was exactly what happened during the 2023 general elections when Peter Obi and others were launched into political prominence by a critical mass of Nigerian youths and young women through a revolutionary democratic movement, which was also named after Peter Obi, known as the “Obidient Movement”.
