Nigeria’s recurring bad political leadership and its entrenched chronic economic hardship have pushed the country to its breaking point. For those who are able to study the warning signs, it is very true that the country is dangerously sitting on a key of gunpower, as the time bomb of youth-led social revolution, is fast ticking towards explosion.

It remains an undeniable fact that youth frustration and hopelessness have reached the highest peak, and this ugly reality calls for urgent political action, in order to rescue Nigeria from sudden political disintegration. Unless drastic steps are taken by concerned Nigerians to reverse the country’s trend of bad political leadership, a forceful political disintegration becomes inevitable. This is why a responsible government must be installed by enforcing a citizens-driven democratic regime change, and this is exactly what the 40Million Ballots Movement (40MB) aims to achieve in 2027 and beyond, using its “YES-WE-CAN Campaign’’ as operational tool.

Unless the ruling cabals are displaced, they will continue to impose and recycle themselves, as political leaders, including their cronies and allies. But if they must be displaced, it will require the emergence of a revolutionary political force, which will contend to reduce their powers, as dominant ruling forces. The desire to drive and actualize this cause, is the reason the 40Million Ballots Movement and its “Yes-We-Can Campaign” were formed.
